Reaching the Bottom Branch

Not a bad day yesterday, definately still pulling myself out of the blue hole. Training wise did 40 mins in th pool, stretching and abs set. Reaaly need the swim squad to train with, much better then alone. Diet wise was almost perfect bar fininshing off the crap I had on friday night. Surprise of the day has to go the Brisbane Broncos who pipped the Titans 40-32, awesome game to watch. (DIET;LJ=N;VIT=N;B=N;MM=Y;VIT=N;L=N;MA=Y;DIN=Y;VIT=Y;AF=Y) Gotta keep climbing!

Begins the Battle of the Blues

After months of not training and weeks of not attending uni, it was time that I realised I was burnt out and heading down a depression road. However after a change in perspective and some guidance by my Life coach (who I cant thank enough) I seem to have lifted myself up. Deciding to defer Uni for a year, has given me hope to grit my teeth and push through the pain. And so, back again to square one. Today is measurement day and I will collect weekly data on my progress.

WAIST= 92.5 cm

STOMACH= 99.5cm

CHEST= 104cm

WEIGHT= kg

2:27:20

This is my target finish time for the Olympic Distance Noosa Triathlon. Starting now, the 29th June, this will be my catch cry to keep me in line. After a lengthy break it has to be perfect from now on. Can't control what has already happen so it is nessecary to not dwell on my lazy spell and just keep saying the catch cry. From now on particularly during the holidays, training twice a day, strict diet with only 1 fat day a week, lots of stretching, supplements, anything that will improve my performance. While this is occuring I need to experiment with waking patterns so training dies not go to shit when Uni starts again as it did in Semester 1. Lets Do it!

Back To Square ONE!

After finishing the season down in Byron Bay have not trained until last Tuesday, where the session was agony. Attempting to get back into it this week diet,exercise and mind failed miserably after promising results. On WEDNESDAY 17th will be DAY ONE of TriLife. Now back to study so I don't fall into another misery trap

Climbing to the Peak only to Slip and Fall

After an awesome start to the week, which included attending all training sessions, begininng a new diet and getting into uni everything seemed to be locked in high gear, but soon the transmission imploded and the week fell apart. This included not training 3 days in a row, pigging out on food and not studying. However this has prompted me to again look to rebuild. I am getting back onto my immdeiate focus Gamsat, a psyc essay due soon after and the mooloolaba tri after that. I believe I found the secret to my success is to be prepared well so I can transition from one aspect to another smoothly. this is big in the morning in the transition from sleep to going to training, I think I need to be 100% ready to leave the night before to ensure I do end up going to training. Anyway have cleaned up unit and am looking to get orgainsed for upcoming fortnight which is going to be intense but potentially rewarding if I do the background work right. Fire up the Cylinders!

The Evil Performance Wizard does the Disappearing Act

After almost a month of not swimming I had my first session. It was very disappointing. The Evil Triathlete Performance Wiard condured up a potion that sapped me of my speed,strength and stamina. I was struggling at the back again and got a pain in my shoulder which I haven' t had since my first couple of swim sessions. Need a lot of work to happen before Mooloolaba. On the brighter side I seem to have settled into uni life etc. Apart from a blow out lunch with mum (today is the commencement of my diet) and an hour wasted not studying due to droopy eyes I seem to manage to stay awake for a majority of lectures and kept diet in check. Weigh myself for the first time and found out I'd lost about 4 kgs which means I reckon I still have 5- 10 to go. I will take my measurements and update them every 3weeks to track my progress with the diet and back to full training. Pump it Out!
